IRS RIDE FOR PEACE 2010

Suncoast Cable Watersports presents the 2010 ‘I Ride Sideways Ride For Peace’ on the 19st September, 2010. The event is being held in conjunction with the International World Peace Day.

Peace is an important element of the Ride For Peace event and is a worldwide phenomenon. On the 21st of September 2007 the first annual Ride For Peace was held to coincide with Peace Day. Jeremy Gilley, founder of ‘Peace One Day’, has been on a world mission to create the first ever global day of cease fire in the history of mankind. He succeeded in lobbying the United Nations and we now have that day on the 21st of September every year! Even though the official day has been sanctioned by the UN, many people have not heard about this day or taken part.

It is a great opportunity for the young people in the world to take action and let governments and authorities know that we want this day to work. So, Ride For Peace is expanding to include as many Cable Wakeboard Parks around the world to show our support for such a great cause. For more information on the Ride for Peace go to www.rideforpeace.tv

Ride For Peace 2010 is about one thing....having FUN!!! It’s about celebrating the fact that winter is over as the excitement and anticipation of next summer is about to be realized. It’s about telling stories with your mates in the weeks to come of how you steezed that rail or tweaked out that grab off the kicker. It’s about geeing up your team mates to try something new. It’s about seeing someone just oozing style all over a rail or a box or off a kicker and appreciating the fact that you had just witnessed someone demonstrating what wakeboarding is about in their own unique way. This is what Ride For Peace 2010 is all about! With the total number of jumps and rails in the water standing at 16, we are set to experience a true water terrain park spectacle.

The cost for the I Ride Sideways Ride For Peace is $40. Contact Suncoast Cable Watersports on 07 5448 7555 or down load your registration form from www.suncoastcablewatersports.com or www.gowake.com.au.

The format will consist of teams with 5 riders, producing 15 minutes of their best rail skill on the water with teams being marked on their best trick for each obstacle. With an unlimited number of falls, the riders push their skills to the limit to make sure they spend as much time on the water, rather than swimming.

You can come as a spectator for free and enjoy some tasty delights and refreshments from the licensed Wake Café and bar and enjoy a day of top class Wakeboarding.
